The mansion and winery in Calimanesti
The newest chapter in the history of the Simén Manor in Călimănești began in 2006, 180 years after its construction, with the fulfillment of the dream of a family business. After 10 years of work and planning, the Petry Estate Winery was inaugurated here in 2016, where private events and banquets accompanied by wine tastings have been organized ever since. The restoration of the manor was only the first step towards the revival of viticulture in the Târnava Mici area. Petry wines serve this purpose, which undergo a continuous process of improvement.
PETRY FAMILY
During our existence since 1879, we have experienced many things, both pleasant and unpleasant. We enjoy successes, and we consider failures to be lessons. If someone were to ask us to what we owe our 136 years of success, we would probably say that it is a burning desire to progress. We owe all our respect to our ancestors for their hard work, and each of our products also contains a small part of the past. Our family recipe book, almost 140 years old, represents for us the most valuable heritage and is the basis of most of our products, which is why we believe that we have every right to say that we are the keepers of tradition.
WINE CELLAR
Our winery in Călimănești is an ideal place for family reunions, parties with friends or corporate events, in addition to wine tastings. It comfortably accommodates 50 people, who can benefit from themed dinners, wine tastings, product presentations or special dishes or other events. The area around the manor, with an excellent panorama of the Târnava Mici valley, serves as an ideal space for outdoor events, in case of favorable weather.
